Grand Opening of a New Exhibit on "Shipwrecks of Dog Island" 
The grand opening of a new exhibit on "Shipwrecks of Dog Island" will be opening at the Carrabelle History Museum. The grand opening will start in October at noon and will end on December 10 at 6 pm. After this point, the exhibit will become a permanent installation. The exhibit in question will focus on exploring Dog Island's maritime history, focusing on shipwrecks resulting from the Category 5 direct hit, also known as the "Carrabelle Hurricane" in 1899. There will be a showing of an original video that features expert underwater archaeologist Chuck Meide who will describe the process of identifying the sunken ships, informing visitors about what they should do when coming across a historic artifact on public land (a piece of shipwreck, an arrowhead, piece of pottery, etc...).

Florida Seafood Festival
The Florida Seafood Festival is a two-day event known best for drawing thousands of visitors to the historic town of Apalachicola in Franklin County. The festival will feature delicious fresh-caught seafood, arts and crafts exhibits, seafood-related events, and musical entertainment. A couple of notable events include:

Apalach Ghost Tour
The Apalach Ghost Tour will take you on a haunted tour of downtown Apalachicola with a personal ghostly tour guide. The days and featured times of this tour are located on the website, taking place through November. There will be ghost stories told about the people from the town's past told in front of some of the city's historic sites. There are local legends that will be told as well, including tales of:
- The Ghost Hearse of Bloody Bluff
- Tate's Hell
You will also be given the chance to partake in some ghost hunting as well!

Bits and Pieces Mixed Media Art Class
Looking for something to do on St. George Island while on vacation? Looking for something to entertain the kids for a few hours of the day to spark their creativity? At this workshop, you can pick from your canvas glass or other media to create a work of art with your family and friends.
